Al Horford agreed to a four-year, $113 million deal with the Celtics.

It’s rare that signing a 30 year old center with declining stats, whose crowning achievement is his 3rd team All-NBA from 5 years earlier, would be such big news.   However, here we are.  Many would argue the Celtics broke out last year with almost 50 wins.  However, that was with the lackluster Jared Sullinger leading all big men in minutes played.  The upgrade from Sullinger to Horford is enough to catapult the Celtics and their talented coach Brad Stevens to heights this franchise hasn’t seen since Kevin Garnett was wearing green.
